How can telecare help me?

By providing peace of mind, reassurance and greater independence

Sometimes it feels like your independence is being taken away. Telecare can help bring it back for you; whether that's giving you greater confidence in your own home and garden or providing that little bit of extra support if you want to go out.

Telecare will help you live more independently in your own home for longer. It gives you and your family or carer extra peace of mind, knowing that someone is available for you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days of the year.

There are products to suit all needs and all situations. We can provide free advice from specialist advisors to help you find the right combination of equipment so you can maintain the lifestyle you want. We provide the equipment, monitoring service and a responder service* for one affordable monthly payment as well as a small installation fee.

You can choose from a range of options which will alert the monitoring centre:

  • If you’ve fallen
  • If you haven't returned to your bed or chair
  • If you've gone out and left the door open
  • Equipment to help if you want to go out in the garden or get out and about

It might be that family and friends don’t live close enough to be able to respond to a call from our monitoring centre. So you can choose to have add our responder service to your telecare package. This means that there is always someone available to come to you, should you need it.

We'll come and fit your products for you at a convenient time. We'll make sure you're happy and confident about using them before we leave. You can always call us if you have any more questions.

Once a year we'll come and service your equipment, you can contact us at any time if you have any concerns.

Many of our customers also choose a key safe - this is a strong metal box in which you can securely store the key to your door. Your keys can only be accessed by knowing a combination code, this can be provided to the monitoring centre. So, if they ask for someone to come to your aid they can access your property more quickly. A key safe can be purchased from:
